Isle of Inishmore - Important Safety Information
In order for you and all our passengers to enjoy their experience on the Isle of Inishmore we have a number of safety procedures that need to be followed.

Vehicle Loading Procedure

Arranging cars and trucks on the car deck is a complex but necessary safety procedure. To achieve the best loading arrangements please understand that a vehicle which has checked in after you may be loaded before you.

Embarkation

On arrival on the car deck a staff member will direct you to a parking space. Before leaving your vehicle please ensure you have done the following:

  • Switched off the lights
  • Switched off the ignition
  • Applied the hand-brake
  • Left the vehicle in gear

Access to the vehicle is prohibited during the voyage. Please take with you the luggage required during your voyage as well as any valuable items.

Check Your Stairways

To help you locate your vehicle at disembarkation time we have numbered each stairway. Please remember the number on the door nearest your vehicle and the number of the stairway as you leave the vehicle deck. On arrival, please do not proceed to the car deck until requested to do so.

Disembarkation

Wait until the last moment before starting your vehicle's engine so as to avoid polluting the air on the vehicles decks. When disembarking, follow the instructions given by ship's staff.

Access and Facilities Access and Facilities

If you or a member of your party has particular requirements, please let a member of staff know, and where possible, we will be happy to assist.  On board the Isle of Inishmore the following are in place for your convenience; wheelchair, designated wheelchair accessible areas including toilets and a lifts.

No Smoking No Smoking

It is illegal to smoke in any enclosed area on the ship. Smoking is permitted on the outer decks.

Safety on Board

We operate to the highest safety standards, as set down by the International Maritime Organisation and monitored by the regulatory authority in each country. Please observe the following simple safety rules:

  • No petrol cans please, full or empty
  • Do not overfill fuel tanks
  • Please turn off gas bottles in caravans/motor homes prior to joining the ship, and do not turn on until after disembarkation
  • Please listen carefully to all announcements
  • Assembly StationWhen moving around the vessel please note the Assembly Station signs, and read the safety messages.
  • Familiarise yourself with instructions on how to put on life jackets. These instructions are posted around the vessel
  • Dispose of cigarette ends carefully and only in the ashtrays provided
  • Dispose of litter only in the receptacles provided.
