Ahead of the coming Summer season, Irish Ferries
have carried out a major refurbishment programme
on board their Ireland - France ferry Normandy.
Costing in excess of EUR1 million, the upgrades
were completed during the vessel's recent dry docking.
Included is the fitting of new and very comfortable
seating, new high definition plasma TV facilities
with satellite reception, new carpets and flooring
on passenger decks, restaurants and Molly Malone's
Lounge areas, a new counter feature and seating in
the popular Café Lafayette as well as improvements
to cabin showers and public toilets.
The ship's Cinema and shop were also refurbished.
Described as having a dramatic effect on the public
areas, the works was carried out during the vessel's
recent annual dry docking.
