In a major initiative to woo business away from air carriers and boost travel on their Irish Sea services Irish Ferries is releasing 100,000 low cost car spaces on their Dublin - Holyhead and Rosslare - Pembroke routes this Summer.

Bookable by July 26th and valid for travel from July 7th to August 28th fares begin with a one-way, mid-week lead-in price of £79 / €119 for car and driver on the Rosslare - Pembroke route.  Supplements apply for travel on the Dublin-Holyhead cruise and fast ferry sailings and on weekend sailings on both routes. A flat rate of only £17 / €25 one way applies to each additional passenger.

Advising passengers that unlike the airlines, fares include taxes and fuel charges, and will be sold on a first come first served basis, Irish Ferries Sales Manager, Declan Mescall said “never before have we set aside so much car space for a low fares promotion in our effort to demonstrate the actual value to be had when travelling by sea compared with the illusion of value which air travel presents”.
