Rosslare
25th July 2006… In a special edition of Mooney
Goes Wild, an RTE crew set sail from Rosslare
to Pembroke on board Irish Ferries Isle of Inishmore
08.45hrs sailing. They hoped to spot some Whale, Dolphins,
porpoises & other wildlife on the journey.
The RTE crew lead by
Aonghus McAnally & accompanied by the usual
suspects - Richard Collins, Eanna ni Lamhna and
Terry Flanagan were joined by Dave Wall from the
Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) who conducts
regular surveys for cetaceans on board Irish Ferries
Isle of Inishmore & the Ulysses.
It was a calm sunny day so the conditions were
perfect for observation purposes. Many sightings
of marine & other wildlife were recorded such
as dolphins, harbour porpoises, gannets &
many more.
