CABARET CURTAIN RISES ON IRISH FERRIES SUMMER SERVICES TO FRANCE

Holidaymakers sailing on Irish Ferries new cruise ferry ‘Oscar Wilde’ to France this Summer can look forward to music and entertainment all the way.

From the end of May, the curtain rises on a brand new cabaret as another Summer-long season of music and entertainment gets into full swing. Playing nightly in the ship’s Gaiety Lounge, the production features songs and music from well-known West End and Broadway shows along with classic Irish chart-toppers. Designed to enhance the onboard cruise experience, this sparkling new production is fronted by four emerging young Irish vocalists who join the show having worked in the West End and toured with major Irish shows worldwide.

Elsewhere throughout the vessel, the sound of music will be in the air. In Oscar’s Piano Bar, pianist and entertainer Stephen Lancefield will perform a programme of timeless classics while, in the Merrion Lounge, passengers can enjoy easy listening music with a classical touch played on piano and violin. In the Berneval Restaurant, musicians will create a truly romantic mood as they bring the cafe atmosphere of France alive on piano and accordion.

Young audiences are also catered for with a fun-filled programme of children’s entertainment that includes a resident magician, interactive games with ‘Piersy Pirate’ and ‘Dani Dancer’, face painting and a dedicated kiddies disco.

Adding to the merriment on the weekend of 30th May when the cabaret begins will be the launch of Irish Ferries’ 2008 escorted wine mini-cruises to Cherbourg as passengers sail off to purchase the first of their Summer wine

Bookings can be made on-line or by telephone to 08705 17 17 17.
