Ireland V France World Cup Qualifier - Irish Ferries Rejigs Schedule To Provide Dedicated Sailing To France For Irish Soccer Fans

To facilitate Irish soccer fans travelling to the World Cup qualifier against France, which takes place on Wednesday, 18th November next, Irish Ferries have reorganised their Ireland - France schedule to provide a special round trip sailing that will get fans to the game and back.

The new sailing of their cruise ferry Oscar Wilde will depart from Rosslare on the new day and time of 1400 hrs on Tuesday 17th November, arriving in Cherbourg next morning at 1000 hrs on Wednesday 18th November - well in time for fans to get to Paris for the match 20 00 hrs kick-off.

The return sailing to Ireland will depart from Cherbourg at 2130 hrs on Thursday 19th November, arriving Rosslare at 1530 hrs Friday 20th November.

Fare for the trip will be EUR199 each way for a car plus four passengers including all taxes. Not included is a mandatory cabin which will cost an extra EUR105 each way for a four-berth ensuite cabin.

Taken as a whole, the package amounts to €304 each way for four adults including taxes, car and cabin which, divided amongst the four fans, amounts to only EUR76 per person each way. Travelling by car, fans can also defray all or part of their cost by stocking up on low-cost wines and beer for Christmas.
