Increasing demand prompts ‘sea change’ in Irish Ferries planned winter schedule

Increasing demand prompts ‘sea change’ in Irish Ferries planned winter schedule

Irish Ferries is delighted to announce that it will be maintaining its twice-daily Dublin Swift return sailings (crossing time one hour 49 minutes) between Holyhead and Dublin through until 5 January 2010 .

It had been planned to reduce the sailing to one return crossing daily but increased demand and healthy forward bookings have prompted the company to maintain normal service.

This move makes Irish Ferries the only operator offering twice-daily fast ferry crossings on this route, with departures at 12 noon and 17.15.

The Dublin Swift service operates alongside two return sailings each day by the cruise ferry Ulysses (crossing time three hours, 15 minutes).

Irish Ferries is currently offering a 20 per cent saving on Swift sailings which means that the lead-in price for car and driver is just £89, one-way.
