Irish Ferries congratulates Dublin, new UNESCOCity of Literature
Dublin has been awarded the title ‘City of Literature’ by UNESCO, in recognition of its rich literary history and vibrant contemporary scene. The city – one of four worldwide – hopes to attract more fans of Joyce, Wilde, O’Casey and other Irish cultural icons.
And what better way to travel to the City of Literature than on Irish Ferries’ Ulysses the world’s largest car ferry with time for a drink in Leopold Bloom’s Bar and a Ulysses Walking Tour around the ship before arriving in Ireland a little over three hours later? August fares to Dublin start at just £89 one-way for a car and driver.
Irish Ferries’ other ships plying the Irish Sea include the Dublin Swift, named after the Gulliver’s Travels author, the Oscar Wilde and the Isle of Inishmore. 08717 300 400, www.irishferries.com
