No Passport required when travelling to Britain by ferry - Irish Ferries
Irish Ferries has issued a statement advising passengers that no passport is required when travelling to Britain by ferry.
Contrasting this situation with rules laid down by airlines who demand that all passengers to Britain be in possession of a valid passport, Irish Ferries states that, when travelling to Britain by ferry from the Republic of Ireland, Irish passengers need only be in possession of a valid official ID in the form of a driving licence or suchlike.
