Don’t know your vehicle registration?: on Step 4, if you do not know, or are unsure of the make, model or registration number of the vehicle travelling, or if you are renting the vehicle, please enter TBA as appropriate.
Naturally, in order to safely board all vehicles on the car deck, it is important we have accurate details of your vehicle and any caravan or trailer in tow. Your booking price may also vary depending on the size and type of your vehicle. When selecting your vehicle type, please make allowances for any roof rack, roof box or bicycle racks/retainers.
Motorised Vehicle types are: What Fares?
Standard Car, MPV, 4x4 - up to 1.9m high
All Motorist fares apply
Car, MPV, 4x4 - up to 2.4m high incl. roofbox All Motorist fares apply

Towed Vehicles
If you are booking a Caravan or trailer, you will need to know the exact length and height, including the tow bar, and select one of the following
Trailer up to 3m long, up to 2.4m high
Trailer over 3m long, up to 2.4m high
Trailer / Caravan over 8m long**
Caravan up to 2.4m high
Caravan over 2.4m high
**Where you book a Trailer / Caravan over 8m long, you will automatically be charged for a towed length of 12m - if your trailer or caravan is less than 12m long, email bookings@irishferries.com with your booking reference and the exact length of your towed vehicle, including tow-bar, and we will adjust your booking accordingly.
Vans higher than 2.60 metres and/or longer than 5.60 metres are classified as freight and must be booked through our freight department. www.irishferriesfreight.com Van lengths and heights are based on the manufacturers current listed dimensions, as shown on their website. Check with your manufacturers website for the length and height specifications of your Van.
