Ireland / France - Terms & Conditions

Confirming a Booking

To confirm a booking you must pay 25% of the total fare. The balance is payable 40 days prior to departure. Full payment required at time of booking if the departure is within 40 days.

Amendment Fees

There is no amendment fee for changes to passenger names, vehicle details or cabin accommodation. Amendment fees apply to all other changes.

A €15 fee applies every time a booking is changed. If a change applies to both the outward and return sailings then the fee is €30. This fee is in addition to any increase in fare price.

Cancellation Fees

- Cancellations up to 41 days before travel will incur a charge of 25% of total fare.
- Cancellations 40 days or less before travel will incur a charge of 100% of total fare.
- Bookings that have been amended and subsequently cancelled may incur a 100% charge.

If travel dates are amended and the booking is then subsequently cancelled the cancellation fee is based on the original date of outward travel.

Refunds

  • Where bookings are amended and the total price of the new fare is lower than the original fare no refunds will be given.
  • No refunds will be given on any booking after travel has commenced
  • No refunds will be given on any unused portion of your ticket.

If you have booked through a travel agent, you will need contact them directly to arrange your refund.

E-Ticketing

Irish Ferries have adopted E-ticketing and provide customers with an e-mail confirmation of each booking. At check-in you will only need to present one of the following: The e-ticket you have printed, the confirmation e-mail you have received or your booking reference number.

Important: All persons including babies require a valid passport when travelling between Ireland and France.
