How do I exchange my Clubcard vouchers for Clubcard Boost tokens?

You must exchange your Tesco Vouchers for Clubcard Boost tokens before you make your ferry booking. Republic of Ireland residents – Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens:

1. Click here, which will direct you to the Tesco website where you will be able to order the amount required.
2. Tesco will issue you with an e-token number which can be used immediately online, or alternatively by calling us on 0818 300 400. You will be required to state the value and serial number of your e-token.
3. Customers with e-token numbers can book online up to 3 working days prior to travel. Customers with paper Boost Tokens will need to make their booking at least 10 working days before travel – this is to allow time to post the tokens to our offices.
4. Prices quoted online include an administration fee of €6. Bookings made through our Contact Centre will include a telephone booking fee of €21.

1. Click here, which will direct you to the Tesco website where you will be able to order the amount required.
2. Choose how much in Clubcard vouchers that you wish to exchange on the right, and then click 'add to basket'. Any change from your vouchers will be credited to your Clubcard Account.
3. Tesco will issue you with an e-token number which can be used immediately online, or alternatively by calling us on 08717 300 400. You will be required to state the value and serial number of your e-token.
4. Customers with e-token numbers can book online up to 3 working days prior to travel. Customers with paper Boost Tokens will need to make their booking at least 10 working days before travel – this is to allow time to post the tokens to our offices.
5. Prices quoted online include an administration fee of £5. Bookings made through our Contact Centre will include a telephone booking fee of £15.

How do I make my booking using Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens?

Bookings can be made through our quick booking section on the top left of this page. Please note that you will need to tick the box for ‘with Tesco tokens’ and you will then be asked to choose the currency of your vouchers. Alternatively, you can use the links below:

At the payment stage you will be asked to choose if you are paying with e-token or paper token.

E-Tokens: You will need to enter your unique e-token code and the value of this code in the boxes provided. Please note that only one e-token can be used for each booking.

Paper Tokens: You will need to enter your paper tokens serial numbers (separated by commas) and the total value of all your tokens combined.

If the value of the booking is greater than the total value of your tokens, simply pay the balance using your credit or debit card. Payments by e-token will automatically be settled on the next business day and an email confirming full payment will be sent once this process has been completed. Customers paying with paper tokens must post them to our reservation offices by registered post, arriving no later than 5 working days after the date of booking and in advance of travel. If we do not receive your tokens in sufficient time, you will have to pay in full for your booking at the port of departure. Boost tokens will not be accepted as payment at the port.

Can I make my booking before I apply for my vouchers from Tesco?

No, you must apply to Tesco first for your travel tokens as we need to know the correct total amount of applicable vouchers and their serial numbers that you are using as full or part payment on your booking. Customers with e-token numbers can book online up to 3 working days prior to travel. Customers with paper Boost Tokens will need to make their booking at least 10 working days before travel – this is to allow time to post the tokens to our offices.

Can I use my Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens to buy Cabins or upgrade to Club Class?

Yes you can, but they must be booked in advance when you are making your Tesco motorist booking. Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens are not valid for purchases made on board our ships or at our ports

Can I use my tokens to purchase the Flexibility Option?

Yes you can – this can be added to your booking at Step 3 of the online process.

Can I use my Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens for any other Irish Ferries services?

Your Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens are not valid for payment or part payment for the following products; Landbridge, SailRail, UK minicruise bookings, hotel breaks, self-catering breaks, foot passenger fares, day trips or freight bookings.

Can I book special offer or promotional fares and pay with my Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens?

Tesco tokens are valid against our web fares, however this is a special fare promotion with restricted availability and Tesco travel tokens may not be used on selected peak sailings. Bookings made using Tesco tokens have their own specific Terms & Conditions and do not qualify for our Frequent Traveller Reward Scheme.

Does my Tesco booking qualify for a discount as a Frequent Traveller Scheme member?

No, bookings made using any value of Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens are already on a special fare promotion and therefore do not qualify for a further future discount on our Frequent Traveller Reward Scheme

Can I use my Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens to book a minicruise to France?

It is possible to use your Tesco Tokens against our minicruise fares to France, but bookings must be made by telephone. Please call our offices for assistance.

Can I make full payment for my Tesco booking, send in the Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens later and then get a refund when the vouchers arrive?

Unfortunately not – all payment transactions of any type are non-refundable once completed. Paper tokens must also be received no later than 5 working days after the date of booking and in advance of travel.

Can I amend my Tesco booking?

Yes, you can amend your booking before your date of travel, subject to availability. Additional charges may incur due to any difference in fare, which must be paid by debit/credit card at the time of the amendment. If the fare on the new departure is lower than your previous fare, no refund of the difference applies. Please note that changes cannot be made online, but only via our Contact Centres or by emailing tesco@irishferries.com.

Can I cancel my Tesco booking?

Yes, however your cancellation request must be received in writing. Please note that if you cancel your booking, the voucher value on the booking is non-refundable but any card payment may be, subject to the terms and conditions of the fare purchased and date of cancellation. Alternatively, you can always amend your booking to another date before departure, subject to an amendment fee and any difference in fare if applicable.

What happens if my sailing is cancelled by Irish Ferries due to weather or technical reasons and I don’t want to accept the alternative sailing offered?

You will receive a full refund. Refunds are by the method of payment so any element paid for by Tesco vouchers will be refunded by Irish Ferries travel voucher.

Can I use my friends/families Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens with my own?

No, your Tesco tokens are applicable to you alone and are not transferrable.

Can I book online for France using my Tokens and pay a deposit?

When booking online with your Boost tokens for our France routes, we need to receive full payment by Clubcard Boost tokens or a combination of Clubcard Boost tokens & Credit/Debit card. If you are booking more than 42 days in advance and wish to pay a deposit only to confirm the booking, then you need to call our offices on 00353 818 300 400 – please note that a booking fee of €15 applies to all bookings made by telephone or at our port offices.

How do I use my Sterling Clubcard Boost tokens on the Ireland/France routes?

It is possible to make a booking for our Ireland/France services when using your Sterling Tesco Clubcard Boost tokens. The online booking process will display your fares in Euros and Tokens are accepted at a rate of £1=€1 at the payment stage. The exact exchange rate used for the conversion will be that on the day that your Tokens are received by us.

To confirm your booking online, we need to receive full payment by Clubcard Boost tokens or a combination of Clubcard Boost tokens & Credit/Debit card.
