	Book a "Speedy Exit" on our Ireland – France service and from just €10 each way for cars and from €5 each way for motorcycles be one of the first to disembark the ship on arrival. "Speedy Exit" is available to a limited number of cars or motorbikes, on a first come first served basis only, so early booking is advised. Note: You must have checked in at least one hour before scheduled departure time to avail of "Speedy Exit". Unfortunately, due to operational restrictions, this facility is not available to vehicles exceeding 2.25m in height (incl. roof luggage), not available to cars towing trailers / caravans, or indeed to vehicles requiring close access to passenger lifts. Also, note that for vessel stability and stowage reasons "Speedy Exit" cars may be parked behind freight or other vehicles.

InterRail & Eurail Pass Holders

Irish Ferries offer a 30% discount on the standard foot passenger rates (adult or child). The discount can not be used in conjunction with any special offer or discounted fares. A reserved seat or cabin accommodation is compulsory and these are available at an extra charge. The Pass should to be current and valid in either the country of departure or the country of arrival.

In order to claim the reduction please make your booking on-line and pay in full - then e-mail your booking reference number and your rail pass number to bookings@irishferries.com. The relevant reduction will be applied to your booking and the credit will be refunded to you via the credit card system. Please send the e-mail to us at least 5 days before your outward travel date. You may be asked to show your rail pass when you check-in for the sailing.

France Minicruise

Our highly popular Minicruises to Cherbourg or Roscoff are the perfect opportunity for a relaxing break away and to stock up on great value wines and beers in the process.

Spend two nights on board Oscar Wilde and up to 8 hours ashore in France, schedule permitting. Our Minicruise fares are from €89 return per adult and from €49 return per child 4 to 15 years. Fares include a reserved seat or a bed in a 2 bed ensuite cabin when at least two people travel. Superior cabins are available at specially reduced Minicruise rates. Bring your car or motorbike for only €89 extra when two or more adults travel together.

Minicruises are valid for travel from Ireland up to 21 June and from 29 August, subject to availability.

Wine Fair on-board Oscar Wilde Friday 11 May

To celebrate our first sailing of the season to Roscoff we are running a special Wine Fair on-board Oscar Wilde on our cruise from Rosslare on Friday 11 May. The Wine Fair is in conjunction with www.winebeersupermarket.com in Roscoff.

During the cruise English speaking wine growers from Bordeaux, the Rhone Valley, The Loire Valley and Languedoc Roussillon as well as brands from Michel Lynch and Michel Laroche will give talks and tastings so that passengers can preview some of the wines that can be bought ashore in Roscoff at discounted prices. The participants will include:

Monsieur Régis Chaigne from Château Ballan-Larquette in Bordeaux showing his red, white and rosé Bordeaux wines, a red Bordeaux Supérieur as well as an Entre-deux-Mers white.

Monsieur Nicholas Moron from Domaine de Gagnebert in the Loire Valley who will be showing his red Anjou Villages as well as a sparkling white Cremant de Loire.

Château de Marjolet in the Rhône Valley will have their red, white and rosé Côtes du Rhône as well as a red Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun.

Boutinot Wines will have an extensive range from the south of France including the Dignité single varietal wines as well as Italian Pinot Grigio, Malbec from Argentina and the Toro region in Spain.

Michel Laroche will have a range of wines from Burgundy and Chablis in particular, complemented by their excellent estates in the south of France.

Michel Lynch from Bordeaux have a fine range of red, white and rosé wines that are very popular in Ireland and now include a new organic Merlot. Customers will also be able to taste some tempting reds from the Médoc and Graves region of Bordeaux.

 

Friday 11 May. Depart Rosslare at 17 30hrs. Attend the complimentary on-board Wine Fair and enjoy the night on-board Oscar Wilde.

Saturday 12 May. After a leisurely breakfast on-board arrive in Roscoff at 11 00hrs. and spend up to 7 hours ashore.

Saturday 12 May. Depart Roscoff at 18 30hrs. and enjoy the night on-board Oscar Wilde.

Sunday 13 May. Arrive Rosslare at 11 00hrs. after a leisurely breakfast/lunch on-board.
