Sail Rail terms & conditions

Ticket Validity:
Tickets are valid for 1 month only from the outward travel date.  These tickets do not permit a break in journey and are valid for point to point travel only.  Please note that lost tickets cannot be replaced and a new ticket must be purchased for travel. 

Persons 16 and under
It is not possible for children under the age of 16 to travel alone unless otherwise accompanied by an adult while travelling. Persons of 16 years of age must have a notarized letter from their parents/guardian signed and witnessed by a public officer.

Luggage:
On Standard SailRail tickets, passengers can bring what constitutes as normal passenger luggage with them, ie suitcases, rucksacks, hold-alls etc.  Please note that for day trip tickets (issued ex UK only) only hand luggage is permitted. 

Sailing Information:
Please ensure that ferry times are verified with us prior to travel, as times may be affected by weather conditions and/or operational factors.  The latest sailing information can be checked by clicking here or by calling one of our Sales Offices.

Rail:
The times that we advertise online are for guidance purposes only and apply to midweek travel (Monday to Friday).  Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday timetables are subject to change – please ensure that train times are verified directly with a local Rail office prior to travel.  Irish Ferries cannot be held responsible for closures or delays on the UK national rail network.

Cancellations:
100% cancellation charge- no refund.

Late Bookings:
It is recommended between Monday to Friday, that booking requests are made more than 1 day in advance of travel. Less than one day before your intended departure, or on a weekend, bookings must be made either in person at Dublin Port (please arrive at least 1 hour before your intended departure), or by calling Dublin Port directly at 01 – 607 5519

Disrupted or cancelled sailings
Every effort is made to maintain advertised schedules but sailing times can sometimes be disrupted due to technical, operational or weather related issues.  However, if your sailing is cancelled we will do everything possible to transfer you onto the next available Irish Ferries sailing.  When making your booking please provide us with your mobile phone number and we will endeavour to make contact with you in the event of any major disruption.  Please note that no refund is applicable if due to adverse weather conditions, the Dublin Swift is cancelled and travel is undertaken on our cruise ferry service.
