Terms and Conditions 

  1. The promoter is Irish Ferries Limited, Ferryport, Alexandra Road, Dublin 1 (“Irish Ferries”) being a subsidiary of Irish Continental Group plc.
  2. Entry into this Prize Draw shall be deemed to constitute full and unconditional acceptance by the applicant of these terms and conditions. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions may result in disqualification from the Prize Draw and, if applicable, forfeiture of the prize. Irish Ferries reserves the right to vary, cancel, modify or withdraw the Prize Draw (in whole or in part) at any time and for whatever reason.
  3. To enter this Prize Draw, applicants must submit their suggested new name for the cruise ferry, currently named “Kronpins Harald”, on a fully completed on-line application form which is accessible at www.irishferries.com/naming_competition/form.shtml. Applicants are requested to suggest a new name associated with France and which reflects the quality and style of this cruise ferry.
  4. All application forms completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will be entered into the Prize Draw and the winner of the prize will be chosen at random. For the avoidance of doubt, the fact that Irish Ferries may decide to use a name suggested in one or more submitted application forms will have no bearing on the selection of the winning entry and the winner of the prize will be chosen at random from all applications submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions. Irish Ferries may, at its sole discretion, decide not to use any of the names suggested by applicants to rename the “Kronpins Harald”.
  5. The Closing Date for the submission of entries for this Prize Draw is 16th March 2007 at 17:00 GMT and all entries must be returned on or before this date via the online application form.
  6. Applicants must be 18 years of age or over from the 16th March 2007 (proof of age may be required).
  7. The name of the winner will be published on www.irishferries.com by 30th March 2007.
  8. The competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland only. The determination and definition of residence and qualification for entry shall be at the sole discretion of Irish Ferries. Employees, agents and representatives of Irish Ferries Limited and its associated companies are excluded from entry. No purchase is necessary.
  9. The prize is for a holiday to France for the winner and their family (meaning up to 2 adults and 3 children in total) and including 1 return ferry crossing on our Ireland – France route, with cabin accommodation included, along with 14 nights self-catering accommodation chosen from the range of products in the 2007 ‘Irish Ferries Holidays’ France Holidays programme, with €500.00 spending money. The total value of the holiday (including spending money) being up to a total tax inclusive value of €5,000.00.
  10. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, for sale or resale or redeemable (in whole or in part) for cash and can only be used by the person(s) named on the application form of the winner. No cash alternative is available to the prize. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  11. Irish Ferries will notify the winner by telephone, email or post by the 30th March 2007.
  12. Subject to these terms and conditions, the Irish Ferries standard booking and travel terms and conditions will apply to the prize. Travel dates are subject to availability. Travel Insurance is not included. Prizes are not transferable, cannot be exchanged and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  13. Return travel must be completed by the winner before 31st December 2008.
  14. No responsibility will be accepted for loss of entries and proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
  15. The decision of the independent judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. Entries are limited to a maximum of 5 per person.
  17. All copyright or other intellectual property rights (whether registered or unregistered) howsoever arising from submitted application forms or names suggested under this Prize Draw are deemed to have been waived by each applicant who has entered the draw and all such rights shall vest in the ownership of Irish Ferries or its nominees.
  18. Entries received will not be returned. Incomplete, illegible, or late entries will not be accepted.
  19. If requested by Irish Ferries, the winner shall take part in any publicity regarding the prize.
