Caves

Caves are dedicated wine shops and Irish Ferries recommend that you visit:

There are two outlets in Cherbourg:

Town Centre

From the ferry terminal follow signs to Centre Ville. Turn left at roundabout with statue and continue through the 2nd set of lights.

The Normandie Wine Warehouse is situated opposite the Carrefour Hypermarket and there is ample car parking space immediately before the Shell Station on the left.

This outlet is open 7 days a week.

Marina

The Marina shop is situated next to the yacht club in Cherbourg town centre.

Follow the signs for Centre-Ville and then follow signs for Port Chantereyne.

Discounts

Normandie Wine Warehouse offer a discount of 2% on 12 bottles of the same wine, 4% discount on all purchases of at least 60 bottles, 6% for 120 bottles, up to 8% for purchases of 20 dozen or more.

A regular Wine of the Month deal includes One FREE bottle for 12 purchased. Make this part of your bulk purchase and the above discounts apply.

Savings are huge. Expect to save around €4 a bottle on still wine, €48 for a case of 12, and €6 a bottle on sparkling wine, €72 a case.

Buying for your own use, the only limit is your car springs! A case of wine weighs about 16kgs or 20kgs for sparkling, a 24 pack of bottled beer 25cl 10kgs.

Hypermarkets / Supermarche

Cherbourg has a selection of large outlets within easy reach of the port. Most of these outlets are closed on Sundays.
