Passengers with Reduced Mobility

For the purposes of this policy, disability is understood in the broadest sense and, in addition to mobility and sensory difficulties, includes mental health problems, specific learning difficulties and medical conditions which may have an impact on day-to-day activities.

Irish Ferries is committed to making travel on our services as easy and comfortable as possible for all passengers. We are fully aware that many improvements to access and quality of services for passengers with reduced mobility will also be of general benefit to our travelling public. Please note a small number of services operated by Irish Ferries may not be accessible to all passengers with a disability. 

Some of the facilities for passengers with reduced mobility include:

• Special car marshalling at all ports
• Wheelchairs available in our Ports and terminals
• Specially adapted public toilets in our terminals and on-board
• Dedicated seating areas on all ships. 
• Specially adapted cabins on our cruise ferries
• Hearing loops at all our reception decks on board and ashore 
• Registered guide dogs allowed throughout the passenger areas
