Important Safety Information
In order for you and all our passengers to enjoy their
experience on Ulysses we have a number of safety
procedures that need to be addressed. These are in place
for your benefit and safety.
Vehicle Loading Procedure
Loading vehicles onto the Ulysses must satisfy certain
safety procedures. To achieve the best loading arrangements
please be aware that a vehicle that has checked in after
you may end up being loaded before you.
Embarkation
On arrival on the car deck a staff member will direct
you to a parking space. Before leaving your vehicle please
ensure you have done the following:
- Switched off the lights
- Switched off the ignition
- Applied the hand-brake
- Left the vehicle in gear
For safety reasons it is not possible to return to your
vehicle while the ship is at sea, so please remember to
take any valuables and hand luggage you may require during
the crossing.
Check Your Stairways
To help you locate your vehicle at disembarkation time,
please remember the door nearest your vehicle as you leave
the car deck. On arrival, please do not proceed to your
vehicle until told to do so. Your co-operation is very
much appreciated and will assist in a smoother disembarkation
Disembarkation
Wait until the last moment before starting your vehicle's
engine so as to avoid polluting the air on the vehicle
decks. When disembarking, follow the intrusions given by
the ship's staff in order to maintain the up most of safety.
Access and Facilities 
If you or a member of your party has particular requirements, please let a member of staff
know, and where possible, we will be happy to assist. On board Ulysses the
following are in place for your convenience; wheelchair, wheelchair accessible areas, cabins,
toilets and a lift.
No Smoking 
It is illegal to smoke in any enclosed area on the ship. Smoking is permitted to smoke on the outer decks
Safety on Board
We operate to the highest safety standards, asset down
by the International Maritime Organisation and monitored
by the regulatory authority in each country. Please observe
the following simple safety rules:
- No petrol cans please, full or empty
- Do not overfill fuel tanks
- Please turn off gas bottles in caravans/motor homes
prior to joining the ship, and do not turn in until after
disembarkation
- Please listen carefully to all announcements
When moving around the vessel please note the Assembly
Station signs, and read the safety messages.
- Familiarise yourself with instructions on how to put
on life jackets. These instructions are posted around
the vessel
- Dispose of cigarette ends carefully and only in the
ashtrays provided
- Dispose of litter only in the receptacles provided.
Remember, we're here to ensure you enjoy your trip with
