We are operating our ‘Travel Safe’ programme to ensure the safety and comfort of both passengers and crew on all our services. In accordance with public health guidelines, it is recommended to wear face coverings while onboard our ships for the safety of all. In French and Irish ports and when in French waters, the wearing of face coverings is mandatory. See what we are doing here.
We strongly recommend adding our new flexibility option when making a new booking.
What you need to do before traveling to FRANCE FROM UK (incl. N. IRELAND) :
The latest travel advice from UK (including N. Ireland) to France is here.
- Fully Vaccinated passengers aged 12 years and older with certification do NOT need a COVID-19 test to enter France.
- Travellers aged over 18 and 1 month who had their full vaccine course over 9 months ago must have received a COVID-19 vaccine booster to continue to be considered as fully vaccinated, or otherwise must follow the rules for unvaccinated passengers to enter France.
- Unvaccinated passengers need:
- either the result of a certified negative PCR or lateral flow antigen test (in paper or digital format) carried out prior to departure within 72 hours for a PCR or 48 hours for an antigen. Self-administered tests without certification are not considered valid for travel OR a certificate of recovery (positive result of a PCR or antigen test carried out more than 11 days and less than six months previously. This certificate is only valid for a period of six months from the date of the examination or test).
- Minors
- Children aged under 12 years who are not vaccinated, are not required to have a COVID-19 test result for arrival.
- All unvaccinated minors (12 to 17 years) are subject to the same travel regulations as unvaccinated adults (PCR/antigen test prior to departure).
- Negative test certificates (digital or paper format) must state: test type (PCR or Antigen), show full name and time/date of test. Self administered tests without professional certification (including NHS tests) are not considered valid for travel.
- Completed forms and proof of vaccination and/or test results will be required for check-in, or boarding denied. Inspections will be conducted at border control and entry refused for non-compliance.
- By law, French Authorities require passengers to wear a face mask / face covering when in French waters. Please have a face mask / face covering with you when travelling with us and remember that rules are in place throughout France for public transport and healthcare settings.
