IRELAND TO BRITAIN Travel Restrictions
Updated: 06.09.21
We are operating our ‘Travel Safe’ programme to ensure the safety and comfort of both passengers and crew on all our services. In accordance with public health guidelines, it is recommended to wear face coverings while onboard our ships for the safety of all. In French and Irish ports and when in French waters, the wearing of face coverings is mandatory. See what we are doing here.
We strongly recommend adding our new flexibility option when making a new booking.
What you need to do before traveling to BRITAIN from Ireland:
The latest travel advice to and from Britain is here. Ireland is an exempted country under the Common Travel Area (CTA), and Irish citizens are currently exempted from travel restrictions into the UK. That means that you do not need to take a COVID-19 test before travel or complete a Passenger Locator Form. Quarantine also does not apply for travel from the CTA (including Ireland) on arrival in Britain.
Please note, if you are not a resident of the Common Travel Area (UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey) OR have been outside the Common Travel Area in the 10 days prior to travel to Britain, you must complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) before your arrival in Britain.
For those coming from outside of the Common Travel Area you must follow the rules of entry according to whether the country you have been in is classified as Red, Amber or Green. Click here for more information and to access the Passenger Locator Form.
Please note that different rules may apply across Britain – i.e.: in the different jurisdictions of either England; Wales or Northern Ireland. Consult the relevant government website for latest information.
In accordance with public health guidelines, it is required to wear face coverings onboard our ships and at ports where social distancing isn’t possible.
