Flexibility to change

We continue to operate our schedules playing a critical role in the supply chain and facilitating essential travel.

• We have introduced additional measures at ports and onboard our ships to ensure that both passengers and crew can ‘Travel Safe’.
• In accordance with public health guidelines, it is required to wear face coverings onboard our ships and at ports where social distancing isn’t possible.
• We strongly recommend adding our new flexibility option when making a new booking.
• You may be required to compete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) in advance of travel, depending on route and destination. Please have correct documentation available for inspection at check-in.

Here are the options available, to change a booking for future travel:

• AMEND for FREE: For those with motorist, motorcycle and foot passenger bookings, who have booked directly with Irish Ferries, we have waived amendment fees on bookings to travel on Irish Sea routes, subject to any fare difference. Amendments need to be completed at least 72hrs before travel. Changes can be made online and in app through the ‘Manage Booking’ option.
  
  
• CANCEL your booking? It is possible to cancel your booking. Standard terms & conditions of cancellation will apply. Cancel your booking by email: bookings@irishferries.com, or contact us here.
  
  
• FLEXIBILITY OPTION: If you have a booking with added Flexibility Option and wish to cancel, you should contact us here.

• All changes to a booking need to be completed 72 hours before travelling.

• Booked through a 3rd party website, tour operator or travel agent? Customers who have made their booking through a third party should contact that agent to discuss the options available.
• Holiday package booking with Irish Ferries Holidays? Contact holidays@irishferries.com for any queries in relation to your booking.
• Landbridge booking? If travelling to / from Ireland through Britain, and you are not a resident of Britain / UK, you will need to complete an online passenger locator form before arrival in Britain.
• Insurance premiums are non-refundable or transferable in the event of cancellation.

Travel After Brexit

Passengers will continue to travel comfortably with Irish Ferries between Ireland and Britain and Ireland and France, regardless of the nature of the UK’s agreement with the EU post 31 December 2020. After the current transition period ends on 31 December 2020, there will be be some changes to travel regulations, which are outlined in our FAQ, according to latest information. Please check with national authorities for the definitive position on any issue.
