10 off all routes - No Amendments

Irish Ferries are continuing to monitor a rapidly evolving situation in relation to COVID-19, and we recognise that there is increasing uncertainty and anxiety around travel plans for our customers at the present time.

Irish Ferries continues to operate schedules linking Ireland to GB and France.  This service ensures that those who need to travel for repatriation, for essential work, or to join their loved ones can still access vital transport links whilst maintaining social distancing on board.  These services also play a critical role in the supply chain, ensuring our supermarket shelves remain stocked and important pharmaceutical and medical supplies are shipped.

Irish Ferries will continue to review its procedures and services on board to follow all published advice and guidance from the authorities.  This includes for example, increasing the frequency of our onboard cleaning routines, displaying HSE notices regarding COVID-19 and making hand sanitiser dispensers available. Ventilation and air conditioning systems on board use 100% fresh air.  To facilitate social distancing, bars, onboard cinemas and Club Class lounge services have been closed.

To assist customers who no longer want to travel and in order to provide greater flexibility, customers who have booked a ferry crossing with Irish Ferries and are due to depart up to 31 May can avail of the following options:

Free amendment: Customers can amend their booking to a later travel date anytime up to 18 December 2020 with no amendment fees.  Fare difference will apply where applicable.

Cancellation: customers who wish to cancel their booking for travel up to May 31 can do so, and any applicable cancellation fee due will be credited for use on a future booking for travel in 2021 on either the Ireland France or Irish Sea routes (subject to availability).

Amendments and cancellations need to be completed at least 48 hours before the original outbound travel date.
We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and emails and thank you for your understanding and patience as we deal with these.  The easiest way to amend your booking is to go to IrishFerries.com to Manage Booking, and make the relevant changes online.  Requests for cancellation need to be made by telephone contact us or email bookings@irishferries.com .
Please note that customers who have made an Irish Ferries booking with a third party agent will need to contact them to make changes to their booking.

Please rest assured that for all who travel with Irish Ferries, we are continuing to liaise with the relevant health, government and maritime authorities, and will update our Coronavirus / COVID-19 FAQs  as the situation evolves.
We thank you for your loyalty and understanding despite these unfortunate circumstances.

Ireland - France Sailings Wine Tasting 23 April
In line with government guidance on “social distancing” and in the best interests of the health and safety of our crew and passengers, Irish Ferries are cancelling the following event on board the W.B. Yeats in April:

  • Wine Tasting sailing on 23 April 2020 in association with the Wine & Beer Supermarket Cherbourg.  Customers who have booked a mini cruise for this event can contact us and amend their booking to one of the later wine tasting sailings in May, June or September.

Amendment fees and rules

We are very happy to allow changes to bookings. Costs apply to some changes:

  • For motorist, motorcycle and foot passenger bookings for travel with us up to May 31 2020, customers can amend their booking to a later travel date anytime up to 18 December 2020, and we will waive the amendment fees. Amendments need to be completed at least 48 hours before travel, and fare difference will apply where applicable.
  • For all motorist bookings for travel from 1 June 2020 onwards, an amendment fee of £20 / €25 per amendment will apply.
  • For all amendments, an increase in fare may apply to a change to route, date or time for travel dates up to 18 Dec 2020. All changes must be made before the existing travel dates on the booking have expired. Amendment fees will be charged on each occasion that a journey on the booking is amended. There is no amendment fee but there may be an increase in fare for changes to the number of passengers travelling on each journey, vehicle type, updating or adding a trailer, caravan or cabin or by adding Club Class.

Changes can be made online and in app via 'Manage Booking'.

You can avoid amendment fees adding ‘Flexibility Options’ to your booking in ‘Step 3 – Upgrade’
