We know that planning to travel, especially when you have to, is more complicated now than ever before. So, to help you be more comfortable when planning your trip, we have improved the benefits of ‘Flexibility Option’ that you can add to your next booking.

Flexibility to change

We continue to operate our schedules playing a critical role in the supply chain and facilitating essential travel.

We have introduced additional measures at ports and onboard our ships to ensure that both passengers and crew can ‘Travel Safe’.
In accordance with public health guidelines, it is required to wear face coverings onboard our ships and at ports where social distancing isn’t possible.
We strongly recommend adding our new flexibility option when making a new booking.
You may be required to compete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) in advance of travel, depending on route and destination. Please have correct documentation available for inspection at check-in.

Here are the options available, to change a booking for future travel:

AMEND for FREE: For those with motorist, motorcycle and foot passenger bookings, who have booked directly with Irish Ferries, we have waived amendment fees on bookings to travel on Irish Sea routes, subject to any fare difference. Amendments need to be completed at least 72hrs before travel. Changes can be made online and in app through the ‘Manage Booking’ option.
CANCEL your booking? It is possible to cancel your booking. Standard terms & conditions of cancellation will apply. Cancel your booking by email: bookings@irishferries.com, or contact us here.
FLEXIBILITY OPTION: If you have a booking with added Flexibility Option and wish to cancel, you should contact us here.

All changes to a booking need to be completed 72 hours before travelling.

Booked through a 3rd party website, tour operator or travel agent? Customers who have made their booking through a third party should contact that agent to discuss the options available.
Holiday package booking with Irish Ferries Holidays? Contact holidays@irishferries.com for any queries in relation to your booking.
Landbridge booking? If travelling to / from Ireland through Britain, and you are not a resident of Britain / UK, you will need to complete an online passenger locator form before arrival in Britain.
Insurance premiums are non-refundable or transferable in the event of cancellation.

Manage Booking

Amendment fees and rules:

We are very happy to allow changes to bookings. Costs apply to some changes.

For those with motorist, motorcycle and foot passenger bookings who have booked directly with Irish Ferries, we have waived amendment fees on bookings to travel anytime up to 15 January 2021 on Irish Sea routes subject to any fare difference.
Amendments need to be completed at least 72hrs before travel. Changes can be made online and in app through the ‘Manage Booking’ option.

Amendments need to be completed at least 72 hours before travel, and fare difference will apply where applicable.
For all amendments, an increase in fare may apply to a change to route, date or time for travel dates. All changes must be made before the existing travel dates on the booking have expired. Amendment fees will be charged on each occasion that a journey on the booking is amended. There is no amendment fee but there may be an increase in fare for changes to the number of passengers travelling on each journey, vehicle type, updating or adding a trailer, caravan or cabin or by adding Club Class.

Travel Safe

Irish Ferries is offering you a safer way to get away, and we look forward to welcoming you onboard again. As travel restrictions in many countries are currently being relaxed, we have introduced additional measures at ports and onboard our ships to ensure that both passengers and crew can ‘Travel Safe’.

Travel After Brexit

Passengers will continue to travel comfortably with Irish Ferries between Ireland and Britain and Ireland and France, regardless of the nature of the UK’s agreement with the EU post 31 December 2020. After the current transition period ends on 31 December 2020, there will be be some changes to travel regulations, which are outlined in our FAQ, according to latest information. Please check with national authorities for the definitive position on any issue.
