Loyalty Club Terms & Conditions
1.1 The provisions set out and referred to in these terms and conditions apply to your membership of the Irish Ferries Club loyalty programme.
1.2 By requesting and subsequently becoming a member of Irish Ferries Club, you consent and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.3 Irish Ferries Club reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Such amendments may include, but are not limited to, the benefits offered by the loyalty programme, conditions regarding earning or usage of points, and threshold levels for moving up the programme tiers.
1.4 Any changes will be reflected on the published Irish Ferries Club Terms and Conditions on the loyalty programme pages of the Irish Ferries website. Such changes will take precedence over previous terms and conditions from the date set.
2.1 Points can be earned and redeemed on all Irish Ferries routes.
2.2 Applications to join the Irish Ferries Club loyalty programme will only be accepted from individuals aged 18 years and older and not from companies or other organisations. Membership is personal and non-transferable, and members can only earn and redeem points for personal (not business) use.
2.3 A valid email-address is required to become a member of the Irish Ferries Club loyalty programme. By becoming a member of the programme, you consent to Irish Ferries creating, updating and maintaining data which relates to you, including your name, address, telephone number, email address as well as any other relevant personal details, Club points accumulated, and travel booked. Data will be updated and maintained for the purpose of providing the member with information regarding Irish Ferries services and sending emails including news about the Irish Ferries Club programme and other offers from Irish Ferries and its affiliates. Irish Ferries will not pass your personal information to external parties but reserves the right to use your data for its own marketing purposes.
2.4 Your points balance and the value this equates to is available once a member logs into the “My Account” section of the Irish Ferries website. Points will be credited to your account on the day after completion of travel.
2.5 Your membership of the Irish Ferries Club can be terminated by emailing email@example.com. Any unused points will not be available to use after your membership is terminated.
2.6 In the case of fraud, providing incomplete or false information, where you do not adhere to the terms and conditions of membership as amended from time to time, you misuse your membership rights or you in any other way cause damage to us or affiliated companies we are entitled to immediately terminate your membership with no redress and cancel all earned points.
2.7 All bookings and travel are subject to the Terms of Business applicable to the Irish Ferries service purchased and are also subject to availability.
3 Irish Ferries Club – Earning Club points with the programme
3.1 Club points are earned on eligible spend for individual member bookings made directly on www.irishferries.com
3.2 Club points will be credited the day after completion of travel of each leg and are valid from the date they are earned for 12 months after which they will automatically be deducted from your account.
3.3 Irish Ferries determines which fares, fare elements and packages are eligible for earning points and reserves the right to amend at any time what constitutes eligible spend for earning points.
3.4 It is not possible to earn Club points:
- where your membership is not confirmed prior to travelling on a booking.
- on the value of any bookings paid for with points or with Tesco Clubcard Boost.
- on the value of the elements of a booking relating to: administrative dues, environmental, service and amendment fees, and overnight reserved seats or cabins on the Ireland-France route.
- on any SailRail bookings
- on Landbridge or coach fares and any non-ferry element of other bookings. Exclusions may be applied to other fares at our discretion.
- On any freight/commercial bookings.
- On reservations with 10 people or more
3.5 For Irish Ferries Club members, Club points are earned at the following rates:
- Green tier members: rate of 5 points per €1 of eligible spend.
- Silver tier members: rate of 10 points per €1 of eligible spend.
- Gold tier members: rate of 15 points per €1 of eligible spend.
For spend in £GBP, the eligible spend will be converted to EURO at the applicable Irish Ferries exchange rate, in order to apply points indicated as per the tier rate.
3.6 Members may only collect points on journeys on which they have personally travelled.
4 Irish Ferries Club – Spending Club points with the programme
4.1 Club points may only be spent on ferry travel bookings made directly on www.irishferries.com
4.2 Club points may not be redeemed for their cash value, nor are can they be used to purchase Irish Ferries travel vouchers.
4.3 Club points may be used only by the member and are non-transferable.
4.4 Club points can be used as full or part payment against applicable Irish Ferries fares. Irish Ferries determines which fares and routes are eligible for point’s redemption and such fares or routes may be amended at any time. Points cannot be redeemed on onboard purchases, SailRail bookings, packages and group or freight bookings.
4.5 For bookings in GBP£ the Irish Ferries exchange rate will be used to convert the eligible spend to EURO before points are awarded.
5 Irish Ferries Club – Programme Tier Levels
5.1 New members will join the Green tier of the programme.
5.2 Silver level: If you earn more than 6,250 points in your first membership year you will automatically be upgraded to Silver level. At the end of your membership year, you will restart your next membership year as a Silver member. To remain a Silver member, you must earn 12,500 points in that year, currently equivalent to €1,250 of eligible spend. If you earn less than 12,500 points your membership will automatically be reset to Green level.
5.3 Gold level: If you have eligible spend of greater than €3,000 in your first membership year you will automatically be upgraded to Gold level. At the end of your membership year, you will restart your next membership year as a Gold member. To remain a Gold member, you must earn 45,000 points in that year, currently equivalent to €3,000 of eligible spend. If you earn less than 45,000 points your membership will automatically be reset to the Green or Silver level depending on your annual eligible spend.
5.4 Silver and Gold tier members will have the telephone service fee waived, as well as additional Club Class benefits subject to availability. For these additional benefits the booking must be on the customer account linked to the Irish Ferries Club membership and the lead account holder must be travelling on the booking.
Silver Tier: 1 complimentary Club Class place for the Irish Ferries lead account holder where available on the Irish Sea and Dover Calais routes.
Gold Tier: 2 complimentary Club Class places for the Irish Ferries lead account holder plus a guest where available on the Irish Sea and Dover Calais routes.
To avail of this free Club Class place(s) benefit, the lead passenger must be logged into their online account, book Club Class places for all passengers travelling at the time of booking, and the free Club Class place(s) for the Silver/Gold Club member will be discounted at Step 4 of the online booking process.
