Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse located in the heart of the St James’s Gate Brewery – the Home of Guinness since 1759 - is Ireland’s number one International Visitor Attraction unfolding its tale of brewing and brand history stretching over 250 years and across seven floors shaped around a giant pint.
The highlight for many visitors is the Gravity Bar, symbolically the ‘Head of the Pint”, where visitors can enjoy unparalleled panoramic views of Dublin city with a complimentary pint in hand.

Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is the heart of historic Dublin The city gets its name from the Black Pool - 'Dubh Linn' which was on the site of the present Castle garden. The Castle houses the magnificent State Apartments, built as the residential quarters of the Viceregal court and now the venue for Presidential Inaugurations, State Functions and Ireland's Presidencies of the European Union.
The State Apartments, Medieval Undercroft and Chapel Royal are open to visitors.

Trinity College / Book of Kells

The Book of Kells remains one of the world's most famous manuscripts with its ornately decorated pages written back around 800 AD. This book of the four gospels in latin is the centrepiece of an exhibition which attracts over 500,000 visitors to Trinity College each year.

Originally a single volume, it was rebound in four volumes in 1953 for conservation reasons. Two volumes are normally on display, one opened at a major decorated page, the other at a text opening.

Phoenix Park

The Phoenix Park, the largest urban park in Europe (1,752 acres) contains a number of stately homes, including the official residency of the President of Ireland, Áras an Uachtaráin, and Dublin Zoo. Open to the public all year, the Phoenix Park contains sports fields, a number of cycle and walking routes and has been home to a large herd of fallow deer since the 17th century. An exhibition on the history and wildlife of the Phoenix Park is on display in the Visitor Centre.

Kilmainham Gaol

Between 1796 and 1924 Kilmainham Gaol housed many famous political and military leaders in Irish history, including leaders of the rebellions of 1798, 1803, 1848, 1867 such as Robert Emmet, Charles Stewart Parnell and the 1916 Rising leaders and Eamon de Valera . Kilmainham Gaol gives visitors a realistic insight into confinement, punishment and correction as well as an understanding of the most profound, disturbing and inspirational themes of modern Irish history. The visit includes a guided tour and exhibition.

National Gallery of Ireland

Boasting an impressive collection of 2,500 paintings and approximately 10,000 other works, Ireland’s National Gallery features every major school of European painting. From watercolours and drawings to prints and sculpture, there’s something for every art lover. The Gallery also houses a dedicated museum to the famously talented Yeats family with an extensive collection of works by Jack B Yeats and his father John Butler. Get lost amongst mesmerizing artworks and find yourself in the Gallery’s charming restaurant for afternoon tea.
