Transfer between Dublin ferry terminal to train stations in Dublin

Public bus service to and from Dublin Ferryport Terminal

A regular public bus service also operates between the city center and Dublin Ferryport. The number 53 terminus is on Talbot street. Passengers can get free passage on presentation of the Sail Rail France-Ireland Cotif ticket. Otherwise, standard bus fares apply to this service and free travel passes may be used. Connections between Busarus and Heuston Station, where not shown, are possible by Luas light rail (red line) or local bus routes. These services are not included and are payable separately. Express Bus Service - Dublin Ferryport Terminal

Dublin Port is served by an Express Bus Transfer 7 days a week. The Express Bus Transfer service is operated by Nolan Coaches.

Nolans Coach service will depart and arrive from George’s Quay. see here
There is a €3 charge each way for the bus transfer. This is a cashless service. Payment can be made through Nolans coaches website or by card with the bus driver.

It's 6 minutes walk from George's Quay to Connolly train station. From Connolly train station you can get a connecting Luas light rail (red line) to Heuston Station.

Transfer between Cherbourg terminal to train station

Bus Service 

The “Line 2” bus service in Cherbourg goes from near the port to the train station Mon-Sat. Free tickets are available at the Irish Ferries ticket desk. Bus & Train info

By Taxi

Taxis will usually be available outside of the ferry terminal. The train station is about 10/15 minutes from the Ferry Terminal.

Walking

It takes about 30 minutes walk from the Ferry Terminal to the train station.
