Wexford

Arrive off the ferry in Rosslare and you’ll be just a short drive from Wexford town. Set at the mouth of the River Slaney, Vikings first landed here in 819AD, going on to establish a settlement named Waesfjord (the bay of the flats). Today Wexford is a compact, yet bustling town with Norse and Norman influences giving the town a medieval feel. Outside of Wexford town there’s plenty to explore in the surrounding areas.

Kilkenny

Kilkenny offers a unique visitor experience where heritage meets cosmopolitan chic. Wander cobbled streets, taking in Anglo-Norman Castles and Gothic towers. Enjoy the vibrant nightlife and Michelin starred restaurants or indulge in a spot of retail therapy at one of the design studios. Waterford

Founded by the Vikings in the late 9th century, Waterford is one of Ireland's oldest cities and you can delve into its intriguing history in Waterford Treasures, a trio of museums in the city's Viking Triangle. Start with the Vikings in the stone fortress of Reginald’s Tower, before moving on to the Medieval Museum and finishing up in the elegant Bishop’s Palace.
