Expanded Holiday Range from Irish Ferries: save 10%

29 Jan 2018

Irish Ferries’ 2018 range of self-drive holidays are now on sale, with an expanded choice of hand-picked hotels and holiday cottages, and an early booking offer: save 10% on all packages booked by close of play on 28 February.

Newly featured in County Cork is a range of luxurious and contemporary holiday homes on the 220-acre Castlemartyr Estate. The two and three-bedroom lodges are set in three locations across the grounds: on the site of the former glass-houses and orchards, in the grounds of the ruined 12th century castle and at the lodge gates.

The estate, which is 20 minutes’ drive from Cork City, has extensive woods, parkland and riverside walks to discover (there’s a leaflet describing the various trails) and also offers (at additional cost) horse-drawn carriage rides, fishing, archery and laser clay pigeon shooting.

The five-star Castlemartyr Hotel is at the heart of the estate, and lodge guests are welcome to use the bar and restaurants and, (chargeable) the Spa and Golf Course.

The Castlemartyr Estate is a great base from which to visit Fota Wildlife Park, Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery, the historic port of Cobh and the beautiful coastline which is no more than 10kms away.

PRICE: A week’s stay, to include return cruise ferry crossings for a car and two adults starts at £559 this year, or £503 if booked by the end of February. A week’s rental at Easter for a family of four is £671 (or £604 with the early booking offer).

Irish Ferries now offers self-drive, self-catering packages at 26 different locations across Ireland, from County Sligo in the north to County Waterford in the south, and within easy reach of Dublin. Its chosen hotel partners include family-run seaside resorts, city centre hotels and historic castles.
