October Half Term from £473 for a family of five with Irish Ferries

04 set 2018

A five-night break in Ireland is perfect for October half term, and a bargain from as little as £473 for return ferry crossings for a car, two adults and three kids under 16, AND holiday cottage rental!

The ferry journey is part of the fun: choose the Ulysses from Holyhead into Dublin, or Isle of Inishmore from Pembroke into Rosslare. Both Irish Ferries’ vessels offer family-friendly facilities including children’s play areas, video gaming, WiFi, cafes, restaurants and cabins. Ulysses even has a cinema!

Irish Ferries Holidays recommends Aughrim holiday homes in County Wicklow, less than 90 minutes’ drive from both Dublin and Rosslare ferry ports, so access is easy.

The three-storey holiday homes sit in landscaped grounds a short walk from Aughrim village itself, where there’s a shop and pub, plus a warm welcome at the bar and restaurant within the Lawless Hotel.  Each offers modern, open-plan living spaces and three ensuite bedrooms (double, twin, single) to sleep a family of up to five.

This is a great base from which to visit attractions such as Kia Ora Mini Farm and Wicklow Gaol. The beautiful beach at Brittas Bay is half an hour’s drive, and other lovely spots are Avoca and ancient Glendalough, once a monastic settlement beside a beautiful lake.

Irish Ferries Holidays’ package of £473 at Aughrim holiday homes is valid for any five nights between 12 October and 3 November.
