Irish Holiday Cottages by Ferry: save up to £127 this Summer

01 mars 2018

Irish Ferries Holidays has extended its early booking offer on self-drive holidays at hundreds of holiday cottages across Ireland. Book by 26 March – and save 10% on any cottage stay, including peak season family holidays.

The largest saving is on a peak summer week in a three-bedroom luxury lodge on the Castlemartyr estate in County Cork.

The 200 acre estate, which is 20 minutes’ drive from Cork City, has extensive woods, parkland and riverside walks to discover (there’s a leaflet describing the various trails) and also offers (at additional cost) horse-drawn carriage rides, fishing, archery and laser clay pigeon shooting.

The contemporary two- and three-bedroom lodges are set in three locations in the grounds:  on the site of the former glass-houses and orchards, in the grounds of the ruined 12th century castle and at the lodge gates.

The five-star Castlemartyr Hotel is at the heart of the estate, and lodge guests are welcome to use the bar and restaurants and, (chargeable) the Spa and Golf Course. The lodges are a great base from which to visit Fota Wildlife Park, Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery, the historic port of Cobh and the beautiful coastline which is no more than 10kms away.

PRICE: A peak August week’s stay in a three-bedroom lodge for two adults and up to four children under 16 costs just £1145 if booked before 17 March, saving £127 (10%). This includes not only lodge rental but also return cruise-ferry crossings for the family car and all travellers.

Castlemartyr is one of 26 different cottage developments offered by Irish Ferries Holidays across Ireland, from County Sligo in the north to County Waterford in the south, as well as cottages within easy reach of Dublin.
