• Discover the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg. Cherbourg's sealife centre is an unmissable attraction, located only a mile away from the ferry terminal! Families can board Le Redoutable, the largest submarine open to the public in the world and experience the magical Abyssal Aquarium, which is an incredible 12 metres deep - the deepest aquarium in Europe!

Explore Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, recently crowned ‘France’s Favourite Village’ and just 30 min drive from Cherbourg. Located just opposite this charming village is Tatihou Island, which can be reached by an amphibious craft, although it is also possible to walk there over the local oyster beds at low tide. Every year in August, it plays host to a quirky folk music festival: ‘Les Traversées Tatihou’. The island is also home to a maritime museum, botanical gardens and a beautiful bird reserve. Don’t forget to stock up at the Maison Gosselin, one of Normandy’s most famous shops!

Have fun at Normandy’s theme parks: Festyland and Le Bocasse are two family-favourites here in Normandy. They are just the right size, have a true Norman feel to them and boast rides for both big and small. Just two miles away from Le Bocasse, the beautiful Parc de Clères animal park is also a must-see and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year!

Explore Bayeux, Normandy at its best! A stunning cathedral, historic old streets, good cafés, shops and restaurants and of course the world-famous Bayeux Tapestry… Bayeux has it all! From 13 September to 31 December 2019, the Game of Thrones Tapestry will be on display in the town, close to the same site as the original one!
