17th October Wine Tasting Event

Irish Ferries are delighted to host the Wine Beer Supermarket, a leading wine warehouse in Cherbourg for a wine tasting cruise experience departing from Dublin to Cherbourg on Friday October 17th October. Here is a flavour of the producers and wines selected for the tasting on this sailing:

  • Maxime Watremez showcasing how good organic wines can be from the estates of Famille Fabre: a ‘vigneron’ family with five wine estates dotted around the Corbières region between Carcassonne and Narbonne in the south of France.
  • Maeva Bompy presenting Maison Boutinot Wines: A wide range of interesting well-made wines from around the world including France, Italy, New Zealand, California and Argentina.
  • Valentin Bertrand highlighting the wonderful diversity of wines from the Loire Valley.
  • François Ozouf representing Maison Michel Chapoutier: best known for wines from the Rhône Valley, but also the Languedoc, Spain, Portugal and Australia.
  • Fred Bossis featuring a great range from the vineyards of Bordeaux including the Michel Lynch portfolio, Ronan by Clinet, and wines from Saint-Émilion and Médoc.

A public bus service operates from the terminal building to the main bus station in Dublin City Centre.

Cherbourg

Cherbourg is situated at the Northern tip of the Cherbourg Peninsula and provides an excellent gateway for travel by road to and from the North and East of France, Paris, and onwards to Holland, Belgium and Germany.
